What is PRISM?

PRISM 2008 will follow on from the highly successful PRISM events in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. The PRISM events provide an excellent opportunity to present work, discuss common issues and meet with researchers working in the area of healthcare and biomedical science.

PRISM 2008 for healthcare and biomedical science postgraduate research students in the North West, is jointly organised by The University of Liverpool and Postgrad Talent North West the North West Hub of the ‘researcher development’ programme.

The aims of PRISM:

Who is it for?

Any postgraduate researcher interested in healthcare and biomedical sciences studying in a North West institution

Participation will be limited to around 100 PGR students from North West Institutions. A book of abstracts will be available at the conference.

What will I learn?

The conference will offer an opportunity for you to share your research ideas, receive feedback on your presentations and give ample opportunity for you to network with other postgraduates from across the North West. In the afternoon there will be a series of workshops allowing you to explore both future career options and opportunities for skills development

Where is it?

The event will start with registration in the foyer of the Graduate School Suite at the main University of Liverpool campus. Marked as number 40 on the map at: http://www.liv.ac.uk/maps/precinctplan-2007b.pdf.

The campus is approximately 10 minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street Train Station.
