This course is free to all postgraduate research students, and is primarily provided for those studying in the North West, although applications outside the NW region are invited. We recommend early registration as the number of delegates will be limited by space. The course starts at 09:15 on Monday 2 April 2007 and finishes at 17:15. |
Postgraduate Research in Arts, Social Science and Humanities (PRASH)

What is PRASH?
PRASH is the latest in a series of FREE one day conferences for postgraduate researches in the NW, brought to you by Postgrad Talent NW in collaboration with NW Universities.
- A FREE one-day conference for research students in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities in the North West. Jointly organised by the University of Liverpool Interdisciplinary Forum and Postgrad Talent NW, the NW Hub of the UK GRAD Programme.
- It will be held at the University of Liverpool on Monday 2 April 2007, 09.15 - 17.15
- The aims of PRASH:
- To enable research students to present their work in progress
- To offer networking opportunities for research students
- To encourage collaboration across institutions and disciplines
- To provide workshops on generic and specific skills relating to research in Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities
Participation will be limited to 100 PGR students from North West Institutions. A book of abstracts will be available at the conference.
Who is it for?
Any postgraduate researcher working in Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities studying in a NW higher education institution.
What will I learn?
The conference will provide an opportunity to hear research from across the North West and share common issues in postgraduate research and receive feedback on any presentation made. The afternoon session will provide the opportunity to explore common issues in postgraduate study, and give ample time to make new contacts from across the region.
