Leading the Way - Research Skills Training in the North West

On 22 March 2005 Postgrad Talent NW, the NW Hub of the UK GRAD Programme hosted the third annual Leading the Way - Postgraduate Skills Training in the NW Conference.
The conference was a mix of keynote presentations, discussion groups and workshops, providing delegates with the opportunity to:
- Hear feedback from the Research Councils (RCUK), the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) and Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) on recent national developments in postgraduate training
- Share the experience of regional and institutional training and offer tips on good practice
- Contribute to the regional and national postgraduate skills agenda and direct the future of regional training provision
The event welcomed 70 delegates representing 11 of the 13 NW regional institutions. The theme for the conference was devised in response from feedback from regional representative and informed by questions frequently asked of Postgrad Talent NW.
