The 2007 annual PRISM conference will build upon the strengths of previous years. Comments from previous delegates include:
- "Excellent conference and venue. Interesting cross-discipline talks with option to attend most relevant talks. Sign-up sessions on 'Time management' and 'Work life balance' were probably the most useful sessions I have attended since starting my PhD. Importantly, the food was good!"

The University of Salford would like to invite research students from across the North West to participate in its annual postgraduate conference. This thriving multi-disciplinary conference gives new researchers an excellent opportunity to:
- present their papers and / or posters in a friendly environment
- meet researchers from other parts of the North West both in panels and through a number of informal activities have their papers peer reviewed and published
A number of external contributors will also run sessions on training and development skills, including publishing research and applying for funding.

St Martin's College, Lancaster
The third annual PRISM conference attracted over 50 researchers from 11 regional institutions.
Delegate Wasim Khan of The University of Manchester described the 2006 event: "Excellent conference and venue. Interesting cross-discipline talks with option to attend most relevant talks. Lancaster University
This event aimed to share good practice on how to support doctoral candidates through the examination process.
Interactive workshops around dissemination of research, careers in educational research and getting published were offered in the afternoon.

Manchester Metropolitan University
This inaugural event attracted around 55 delegates from 8 regional institutions. The event was described by delegates as "A good conference to attend" and "I would strongly recommend the conference because, among others, one receives useful information about how to research"

The fourth annual good practice conference attracted around 70 delegates from 11 regional institutions. The day offered regional, national and European updates, as well at the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the region.
One delegate described the event: "A really great and useful opportunity to get the UK perspective [in PG skills training] from such a strong region as the NW."

This inaugural event was hugely popular, and offered hints and tips on how to successfully disseminate the findings of postgraduate research. The event was opened with a keynote presentation from Prof Sir Martin Harris, talking on the importance of public understanding of research.
Insight was offered from a range of organisations and individuals, including: Chester Chronicle, Chester Zoo, Grosvenor Museum, Oxford University Press

University of Central Lancashire, Preston
The first of three inaugural events for 2006 was PRASH. This event was well received with 74 delegates attending from 8 regional institutions.
PRASH aimed to offer networking opportunities and informative workshop sessions to those studying for research degrees in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. Delegates described the day:
- "The sessions in the afternoon were informative and helpful"
- "Very useful conference to attend"
